How to identify your viewpoints - let’s keep It simple!
Here’s what to do. It’s easier than you might think. Please send us your viewpoints by 30 November 2025.
Step 1
Decide which viewpoints in your area are most likely to be affected by the mega pylons. If you’re not sure where the mega pylons might be built, use the SPEN map of the proposed route to help you.
Step 2
When you have identified a viewpoint, use the Ordnance Survey grid reference finder to find the grid reference for your chosen viewpoint(s). The reference finder is really simple to use, honestly! You can enter the postcode or the address or what3words to identify your viewpoint.

Step 3 (Optional)
Take a photo of your viewpoint(s). We would like to have photos of key viewpoints to share on our website, and on social media. Doing this will help us to create a picture of the whole proposed 98 km long route. Without photos, it’s very hard for anyone to visualise how the mega pylons might change our beautiful Scottish Borders countryside forever.
Step 4
Send your viewpoint(s), including the name of the place, the grid reference, and (if possible) a photo, to actionagainstpylonssba@gmail.com Please try to do this by 30 November 2025.
